Can I be honest with you? Our lives are more messy than they are put together. We live in an Instagram, picture perfect world and the windows we view our world through often set an unrealistic expectation. Sometimes those imperfect moments make us feel a little exposed, like, oh no, I am human, but honestly, I love that.Those messy moments might not feel like what we want captured on camera, but I think emotion and reality are what we actually want out of life. When we look back on memories in our old age, we want to see a moment in this thing called life, not a staged photo.Organic over staged. Natural vs. posed, real laughs vs. forced smiles.If that’s the echo of your heart, that is for sure mine.One thing I emphasize in my sessions is not only quality time, but asking you to truly take that moment for what it is worth. I know the kids might be impatient, the lighting conditions might be a little unpredictable, or your patience is thin, but I have time.Prompts might be suggested, or small corrections here and there so those moments don't feel awkward, but the greatest asset I can bring is time and my eye for a great moment.I ask that you reconsider the perfection of a photo and see things from the lens of a moment. I am the fly on the wall, the observer, the one who sees the movie moments of your life. Did you get enough photos?
My average for an hour session has been around 50 photos. Sometimes there are more. If it goes well, even more. Another emphasis I live by is that more doesn’t equal better. The average still stands, but that average is the sum of moments that I see and you trust me to see.I’m probably not the one
If every photo you want has a perfect smile, facing me, with clean crisp bokeh, I am probably not your photographer. What I offer is unique and far from your standard session. If you want artful moments, small imperfections, but honest moments, I can’t wait to get started!

I have never taken on clients without getting to know them a little deeper than just a quick photo session. To me, no client has ever been just a transaction. I truly desire to bring you the joy of captured moments, not just put money in my pocket and a product in your hands.
I have spent six years watching this family grow (pictured above). We have shared a handful of sessions, or adventures really, that have not only inspired my style but have also given me ample opportunity to understand their dynamics. We have to keep moving. Kids have a hard time staying still, so let’s walk. Let’s play on a playground or get some ice cream. Notice anything? Opportunities come in moments, not stopping life to look at me (which happens very rarely). I want you to enjoy this time together, not pretend to.
What if something goes wrong? Here’s my thing. A kid gets tired, you don’t feel well, it’s a hot day or perhaps someone has a meltdown, that is okay. We pause or reschedule. With families, parents know their kids, I don’t. If it’s too much, we take a break, reschedule, or simply call it a day if I feel we have enough moments. That’s my philosophy, especially with younger children, because I can guarantee there may be some difficulty in the process. I have grace and patience because I understand.
Location + Timing
Outdoor sessions are my specialty, where we can let the kids run around and chase that gorgeous, natural light. For outdoor shoots, I favor that magical evening golden hour as much as possible, though exact times shift depending on the time of year. I know balancing family schedules around sunset can sometimes be tricky, so I can also work with soft morning light if needed! If you prefer a cozy in-home session instead, light remains essential, so we will schedule during peak indoor daylight hours to ensure your space is filled with bright, beautiful light.After the Session
Once our session wraps up, you can sit back and relax while I carefully curate and hand-edit the absolute best, most authentic moments from our time together. Please note that I do not offer raw, unedited, or uncurated photos, as deliverable images are intentionally polished to reflect my artistic style. Within one week, you will receive an email with a link to your private online gallery, where you can view, download, and share your final high-resolution digital files with family and friends. Your gallery should tell a story rather than just showing a grid of similar photos.
